In Luke 18:1-8, Jesus calls his disciples to pray always and to not give up while they wait for his return. Even as we suffer and face hardship, Christ calls us to wait for the day he returns to vindicate his people. And how are we to wait? By praying always and not giving up. Our God is a just judge who does not turn a deaf ear to the prayers of his people. One day, King Jesus will return to vindicate those who’ve waited for him. Until then, he calls us to be patient and to persist in prayer to our God who has set his love on us.
