Our Child Protection Manual is designed to help us provide a safe and protected environment for our children. Every person on our children’s ministry team is background checked. We also regularly review and update our protection policies. It is our aim to give every child a safe and protected environment where they can enjoy learning about God’s love for them through Jesus.
Nursery
A nursery is available with caregivers during our morning service (10:00am-11:15am) for infants-2yrs old. During our Equipping Electives (11:30am-12:10pm) a nursery is provided for infants-1yr old. We also provide a class for children 2-3yrs. Parents are invited to get familiar with our nursery ministry.
Children
All non-nursery children (age 3+) stay with their families in the Sunday service until the sermon. At that time, parents may have their children up through Grade 5 meet our children’s staff at the back of the auditorium to head downstairs for a Bible lesson from "The Gospel Project." Parents are welcome to go with their child to become familiar with our children’s ministry. Parents who have a child participating in the sermon Bible-time must pick their children up immediately after the service. On the first Sunday of each month, when we observe the Lord’s Supper, children are not dismissed for a Bible lesson.
An additional time for all non-nursery aged children is also available at 11:30am each Sunday. During this time we have fun together playing games and we teach and help our children memorize Bible verses.
Teens
Our youth ministry is served by a combination of pastoral leadership and volunteer help. Ordinarily, the youth gather weekly on Wednesday evenings for a time of food, fun, and spiritual enrichment. In addition, events and activities are regularly planned.
On Sundays, after the morning service with the church family, our students meet in a class of their own. These classes are aimed to help parents with the spiritual formation of their youth. We desire the youth of our church family to know and love Jesus now and for the rest of their lives.
