Our Shepherding Leaders
Highlands Baptist Church is blessed to acknowledge and affirm biblically qualified men (1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1) who serve as staff (paid) and non-staff (unpaid/lay) elders. These men lead and serve together as a pastoral brotherhood. We are enormously grateful and praise God for their willing and costly service to Christ’s church.
"So I exhort the elders among you…shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock."
– 1 Peter 5:1–3
Our Servant Leaders
God has given his favor to Highlands Baptist Church through deacons who joyfully and willingly function as servant leaders. They faithfully serve, often behind the scenes, to help us meet the physical needs of the church family each week.
Additionally, we are thankful for many others who coordinate and serve in various ministries. These faithful members serve, often behind the scenes, for our mutual good and increased joy in God.
“For those who serve well as deacons gain a good standing for themselves and also great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.”
